The Winter Landscape – Eastern Sierra

Photographing winter landscapes can be one of the most difficult, yet rewarding types of photography. Whether you are shooting a wide landscape or a single snowflake, the less than ideal conditions can challenge even the most experienced photographer. We will strive to make a great photographs in what ever is presented to us… snow, fog, sun, or clouds. Adverse conditions can almost always lead to great photos.

The workshop will be based in Lee Vining, California. The day will begin by discussing the topics above before heading out to shoot photos. We will be looking for winter scenery and shoot various scenes under varying lighting conditions. Exact locations will be determined by the weather and light.
In the evenings we can process and share photographs with our laptops and discuss color and BW Lightroom techniques.
