The Unknown Street Photographer

Street Photography has always been a love of mine. I friend recently forwarded me a link with photographs by Vivian Maier who passed away this last spring. She shot in obscurity  through the 1950s to 1970s. Most were shot with a medium format twin lens reflex camera.

John Maloof acquired some 40,000 negatives of hers, 15,000 of which have not been processed, at a furniture auction in Chicago.

From these samples there are some wonderful photographs! Check it out.

I am offering a street photography workshop in Los Angeles on Feb. 20, 2010.
